Nemya McGill-Veloso is a rising senior at Virginia Commonwealth University, and she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology. In addition to majoring in psychology, she is also minoring in African American studies. After graduation, Nemya hopes to enter a doctoral program in counseling psychology, where she looks to earn doctoral training and prepare for her LPC. Her overall career goal is to be able to provide therapy and guidance to Black adolescents in a school setting. Within the AYA Research Team, Nemya works with the ROOTED: Endeavor Team to qualitatively code and conduct thematic analysis.
