Jayla Gillis is a Senior at VCU majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. She was instrumental in reinstating the Black Psychology Student Association at VCU and she currently serves as the President. Her future aspirations is to become a Counseling Psychologist. Jayla’s research interests includes exploring social injustices, social media trauma exposure, mental health, and food deserts among underserved populations and Black families, especially Black youth.
